LUNAR Dust

Bits and pieces too small for article of their own...

LUNAR buys up remaining Hobby Haven rocket inventory:

Fast thinking club president Mark Weiss has purchased all of Hobby Haven's remaining rocketry inventory during the recent going out of business sale. For 75¢ on the dollar, you can select from a fair collection of Estes black-powder motors, kits, body tubes, parachutes, decal kits, and other assorted items. Mark will be bring these items to the October 19 club meeting and the October 22 club launch. The sale is limited to stock on hand, so shop early for the best selection...

Member Jud Stubbs has a suggestion for all you shutter bugs out there:

"I see a lot of people taking photos at the launches but I rarely see anyone showing off the finished prints. Maybe flyers who have photos could bring them to the next launch. I'd love to see some of the photos people are taking. Who knows, maybe we can have a monthly photo contest..."

Ed: And we have Web sites wherein we can post the picks of the litters.

Member Dave Redell notes:

"The NAR board has removed the $5 fee for certifications even though old copies of the form insist that you send in the money (including the 10 copies that I recently made for the LUNAR file box)."

Ed: See the article entitled "NAR High Power Certification Program Overview," in the October, 1995, issue of The Model Rocketeer for more information about recent changes to the certification process.
