Bylaw Changes

We will be voting on changes to the bylaws at the annual meeting in February. Article 4 of the bylaws shall be amended as follows. (These proposed changes to the bylaws have been drafted by our prez - Jack Hagerty.)

1) The section reading:

Article 4. Dues

Dues shall be paid on a yearly basis, payable in advance.

The membership year shall coincide with the calendar year, January 1 through December 31.

Dues are determined by membership category as given below.

(a) Youth Membership; Three Dollars ($3.00) annually

(b) Junior Membership; Four Dollars ($4.00) annually

(c) Senior Membership; Six Dollars ($6.00) annually

(d) Adult Membership; Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) annually

2) The section reading:

Family Membership Plan: Full rate for one Adult family member, others at half price for their respective membership category.

Pro Rata Collection of Dues for New Members: Dues for new members joining after the beginning of the year shall be set according to the following schedule:
1 January through 30 April: The full annual dues of the appropriate membership category.

1 May through 31 August: 2/3 of the annual dues of the appropriate membership category.

1 September through 31 December: 1/3 of the annual dues of the appropriate membership category.

This schedule is for the initial dues of the current year only, after which the full dues schedule shall be in effect.

3) The section reading:

Dues income shall be supplemented by a $0.25-per-flight charge for flight cards. These flight cards may also be earned by attending club meetings or volunteering for various jobs associated with launch operations.

Dues income shall be supplemented by a $0.25-per-flight charge for flight cards for rockets in the impulse class of "E" or below, or a $1.00-per-flight charge for rockets in the impulse class of "F" or above.

These flight cards may also be earned by attending club meetings or volunteering for various jobs associated with launch operations as determined by the volunteer coordinator and/or Range Safety Officer.
