S.A.R.G. Open for Business!

S.A.R.G. is the Sacramento Area Rocketry Group (NAR Section #577), dedicated to the promotion of safe and fun activities for young people of all ages through the sport and hobby of model rocketry. This relatively new group holds monthly launches on the first Saturday of the month, starting at 9 a.m. - a nice complement to the LUNAR launches on the third Saturday.

Their launch site in Rio Linda is within easy striking distance from the Bay Area. The S.A.R.G. launch calendar through September is

The founders of S.A.R.G. have been out to the LUNAR launches in past months. We should reciprocate with a visit to their launches.

In a short few months, S.A.R.G. has gone from a couple of guys trying to have some fun, to an NAR Section with over two dozen members, with funding from local businesses, and the full support of the Rio Linda/Elverta Parks and Recreation Department, as well as The Discovery Museum. You're an inspiration to us all!
