Changes to 1997 Launch ScheduleThe LUNAR launch schedule is subject to change, sometimes with very little notice. For example, on April 12, it was discovered that the day of our April, June and September launches had been rescheduled by LARPD (the Livermore Area Recreation and Parks Department) - we had been "bumped" by organizations paying the full facility usage charges.How can you stay informed about changes to the LUNAR launch schedule? One of the first places to turn for information about the launch schedule, and generally for more information about the club and its membership, look to the LUNAR World-Wide-Web site at
Except for cancellations the day of the event, this is the best source of up-to-the-minute information. For day-of-launch information, call the LUNAR Hotline (510) 443-8705 after 7 a.m. on the day of the launch. Cancellations due to weather or other sudden happenstance's will be announced here. With scheduling changes known 1-2 weeks before an event, an e-mail message will be sent to all members on our e-mail notification list. In some cases, when it is thought that a large fraction of the membership has been misinformed about a scheduled event, a postcard change notice may be sent to the membership of record.
