Soldering To Batteries
Be Careful !!! Getting batteries too hot can make them explode, especially button cells.
- 1. Sand the electrode to be soldered.
- 2. Tin the electrode and the wire. Hold the low power iron to the electrode for 5 sec, apply the solder and hold for another 5 sec. If the solder does not stick in 10 sec, stop, let the battery cool, and start over.
- 3. Place the wire on top of the battery and the iron on top of the wire. Hold until the solder on top of the battery melts then remove the iron and let it cool.
Use proper protection when soldering batteries.
