[LUNAR Announce:] [LUNAR general:] Call for Recycled Rocket Magazines for Maker Faire

At the April SR launch Dave Flournoy gave me his entire collection of HPR
and ER magazines for the club auction. I'd say this was an equivalent use.
If Dave has no objections, I'll bring them.

PS; if anyone gets rid of old rocket mags, Please bring them or get them to
Maker Faire. We can hand them out to new rocketeers to read and pass along.
I know some have every issue that was ever printed in duplicate so I am not
asking for those, just the ones that might get recycled.

Subject: [LUNAR Announce:] Map for Maker Faire locations of booth and launch

I made a quick GE  location map. [Allen that is google earth.] I put the
word "Rockets" in the booth location and "Launch" for the launch. Arrows
point at the ticket entrance and it will say "Makers" entrance or something
close to that. The maker entrance is generally north of the public entrance.
That is where you get your wrist band/ticket/IDcard. Remember if you are
having any sort of problem with getting into the maker gate, call me. 408
314 9519 or ham at 147.470 and will get to you. Just say Luise of Maker
Faire says it is ok and to talk to Charlie or Cliff. We can not do the event
without your help and they expect 80 to 100k folks.

I am having a little trouble finding some information about the fair grounds
layout.

How do I find a map showing our location in the grounds area.

Is there some parking locations (in the paid parking) that are closer to our
location, for carrying big things in.

If there are maps on the web, how about posting the link.

Any things else that will help 1st timers find the place or we should know.

MF 2010 is coming in less than 2 weeks. Please look us up on the maker site
to get directions and locations. It cost 17$ for parking this year. 

GO TO THE MAKER ENTRANCE TO GET IN. TELL THEM YOU ARE WITH LUNAR OR AEROPAC
AND THEN GET THE TICKET OR ARM BAND. There is a list they will have but if
your name is not on it don't panic and tell them your a volunteer to help.
They will give you a ticket and if there is any problem just call me at 408

We will also need a few late night folks to talk rockets on Sat night. The
faire is open till 8pm and I think we can cover it.

Please bring your rockets to display. Big or littile the children will love
them. I think Arliss has about ten can sats that will be on display so if
you want to bring your arliss rocket, please do.

Please sign up asap if you want a ticket to get in. It is a real fun event.
This is one of the bigest outreach events of the year. Make sure you put
everyones name down who is coming with you so we can get the list in by
Thursday this week.
