LUNAR!

NASA Ames Educational Directorate has offered LUNAR six passes to watch in
person as GRAIL is launched to the Moon aboard a Delta 2 7920-Heavy. The
launch is scheduled to take place on September 8 from SLC-17B at Cape
Canaveral. Unfortunately, NASA Ames can’t help with travel or lodging
expenses, but can get you a great viewing opportunity from KSC.

This opportunity has been made available because of all the public outreach
LUNAR provides to Ames. If you are interested, I will need your first
name, last name, and email address to forward to NASA Ames by 4 AM this
Friday, August 12.

Remember, you will be responsible for all expenses (travel, lodging, food,
car rental, etc.). This is a unique opportunity. When planning your travel,
you should plan for several extra days to allow for a launch delay and a day
to tour KSC.

This offer is good for six people to attend the launch. I will forward to
Ames the first 6 names I receive via email to president at lunar.org.

Please share this opportunity with your fellow Club members.

David Raimondi
LUNAR President
