LUNAR-

The Boy Scouts would like you to help them with their annual Rocket
Jamboree. Please see details below!

David

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN!

Hi Lunar Folks,

Well it's 9 weeks to the first launch of Rocket Jamboree. Can everyone
please check their calendars and confirm the day(s) that you're helping out
by e-mailing me. October 8th & 9th.

Arrival times are, Saturday 8am; Sunday 7:30am.

The Sunday group is shaping up to be about 300 rocketeers. These are the
younger Cub Scouts; with younger parents! So I really need your help. I
plan on running 12 RSO inspectors to keep the wait time down. Also to
manage the group better there will be two sessions, 9am to 12pm and 1pm to
4pm with the head count capped at 150 each session. We will not take any
on-.site registration on Sunday. To pump out more launches in less time we
built a second launch controller. Instead of our usual one LCO with 10
racks we will have two LCO's operating 5 racks each.

(Yes I'll take feedback on this)

Paul Pittenger has offered to run clustering & staging workshops, one in the
morning & one in the afternoon, each day, with a maximum of 30 scouts each.
Maybe this is limited to Webelos age and up.

Lots of new and changed things going on. With a staff of 80 volunteers this
should be the best RJ yet! I'm still looking for the last 20 people, so
please pass this on to those I may have missed or those you think would like
to join the fun.

Those of you that are registered scouters please wear your uniform. I have
a nice new RJ neckerchief for you. Did I mention the very cool name tags
for you as well?

As always lunch & beverages are provided. Remember to bring your rockets
for demo flights. The larger staff will allow for personal time instead of
the usual marathon.

Thank you to all you amazing folks!

Mike Gentile

Rocket Jamboree Chairman, RJ #12
