LUNAR-

I would like to thank everyone who helped out at the Boy Scout Jamboree this
last weekend. For those of you who were helping out for the first time, I
hope you had a great time and will continue to help out at these fun events.

I have received several questions asking if the field used by the Boy Scouts
could possibly become a future LUNAR launch site in Livermore. This site is
not ideal for the LUNAR Club launches. The launch site is within 2.8 NM of
Livermore's airport and is on the down wind leg of the landing pattern.

On a brighter note, I did meet with several members of the LARPD Board on
Monday for a brain storming session about getting a launch site in
Livermore. We did come up with several ideas that need to be pursued.

If we are successful in securing a field in Livermore again, I would still
plan on holding about half of our low power Club launches at NASA Ames so we
still keep that relationship going and can support the schools and Ames
events in the future.

Dave
LUNAR President
