[LUNAR Announce:] Nominations for Board of Directors

LUNAR!

Each January, the club members elect a new Board of Directors at the January
Club meeting. The Board is elected for one year.

The Nominations period for candidates is open from now until January 19th
when the Nomination period will close shortly before the Elections are held.
You must be a NAR member per the club by-laws.

The Board of Directors positions are:

President: Responsible for the Club and Club activities and launches.
Usually is the first contact for queries about the Club.

Vice President: Assists the President with managing the Club and activities.

Secretary: Keeps the other board members informed about club policies, takes
minutes of the meetings and provides help with Club activities. This
position on the Board is currently open.

Treasurer: Keeper of the club finances

Board Member at Large (1) and (2): These two members of the Board help with
decisions and Club activities.

In addition to the above Board positions, we are also in need of someone to
volunteer be the Newsletter Editor.  You would be responsible for putting
together the Newsletter every other month. Cliff Sojourner was the previous
Newsletter Editor and he is willing to provide the Newsletter template he
used.

Don't be shy, I know everyone wants to be on the board and help run the
largest NAR Section. You can nominate yourself or someone else.  Please send
all nominations to myself and Tony Cooper at the president at lunar.org and
vp at lunar.org. Tony and or myself will contact the Nominee to see if they
accept the nomination.

The Elections will be at the January 19th 2012 club meeting.
