LUNAR -
We will hold a LUNAR BoD mtg Thursday 10/22 at Round Table Pizza in Newark
(5544 Thornton Avenue, Newark, CA) from 1900 to 2100.

It is that time of year to start planning for next year. Meeting agenda:
*	FAA Waivers for Ames and Snow Ranch have been filed!
*	Work with Planetary Ventures to secure a permit for 2016. This is
off to a slow start...
*	Equipment party to clean up the LUNAR launch equipment would be
great!
*	Out Reach planning is getting a little crazy this time of year!
o	Planning starts two months prior to groups attending
o	Hold Out Reach groups to about 100 people +/- a few
o	Try having a couple dedicated racks and a separate line for Outreach
*	This means having someone volunteer to perform safety checks
*	LUNAR BoD elections are right around the corner in January. All
Board positions are open (except for Past President. If you would like to
volunteer and help run the club, this is your big chance by running for
office. Board position are: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary,
Board member at Large #1, and Board member at Large #2.
LUNAR Lost a member this year. Richard Hagen passed away in early
September. Richard was very active in LUNAR and the AeroPac rocket club.
Richard also enjoyed flying flew student CanSats in a program call ARLISS.
The Club would like to sponsor a ARLISS flight in Richard's name each year
(depending on Club finances). This still needs an official vote...

Jim Bassham is pulling together the NAR contest for LUNAR. This year's
events are:
Jim is willing to do a 3-4 event contest in January. If someone is willing
to host another one we can have two like last year.

The G altitude event last year was a success as well as the C super-roc. Is
there any interest in a craftsmanship event (Sport Scale, Classic model,
Concept scale)? Is there any interest in trying F-altitude (or E) if anyone
wants to - We could also try D, E, F or G super roc if anyone is willing to
build for that?

Are there any events that any of you definitely want to fly? Some popular
past events are: Spot Landing, Predicted Duration, Set Altitude, Sport
Scale, D super-roc, 1/2A altitude, A parachute duration, B streamer
duration, 1/4 A Flex wing,
Any favorites, or new events you guys want to try? If you have any ideas,
please contact Jim Bassham, LUNAR Contest Director.

David
LUNAR President
