We had over 300 people in attendance which<BR>> included several groups from the Boy Scouts, YMCA Adventure Guides, A<BR>> Birthday party, STEP (NASA sponsored Program) for students, and a Rocketry<BR>> workshop for teachers which was another NASA sponsored program.<BR>> <BR>> I would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped out from NASA Ames!<BR>> The volunteers did an excellent job helping with crowd control, and pad<BR>> helpers. The people helping with the pads cleaned up the igniters and motor<BR>> plugs after each launch which made the final FOD walk very easy. We only had<BR>> a handful of stuff we found after the launch.<BR>> <BR>> A BIG THANK YOU to the LUNAR Officers and club members who are always<BR>> willing to help out at every launch.<BR>> <BR>> We also had media coverage from the SF Chronicle and Wired.com. The folks<BR>> from the Chronicle were doing an article about the club. The Wired Magazine<BR>> group was trying to relate the amount of calories in Wendy's Double Bacon<BR>> Cheese Burger to how high or how many times you can fly a rocket to 600<BR>> feet. The Burger has 1030 (food) Calories or 1030 kilocalories. I will send<BR>> everyone a link to the article when it comes out in the next couple of<BR>> weeks.<BR>> <BR>> I hope everyone enjoyed the launch, I sure did.
