[LUNAR Announce:] Proposed By Law Changes, Article 4 Memberships.

LUNAR By Laws require that the general membership be notified of proposed by
law changes. Article 10 covers the procedure and is quoted here for your
convience.

Article 10. Amendments
*

These Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of those youth and adult
Section members present and voting at any official meeting of the Section,
providing notice of the pending amendment has been given to the membership
at least five days in advance of the meeting in a form deemed appropriate by
the Board of Directors. Youth members (age eleven and under) may not vote to
amend these Bylaws.


A vote on the proposed change will be held at the next LUNAR Board meeting
on 4/14/2011 and likely to be held at the Round Table Pizza on Thorton in
Newark. The details of the proposed change are as follows.

Original:

Article 4. Dues

Dues shall be paid on a yearly basis, payable in advance. The membership
year shall run from June 1 through May 31. These section dues are separate
and distinct from any national dues paid to NAR. Individuals NAR membership
is strongly encouraged but not required. Membership dues will be set by vote
of the Board of Directors at a Section Meeting. Contributing Membership
Plan: Dues income shall be supplemented by a special prefix of
"Contributing" for each of the membership categories (as in "Contributing
Adult Member").
Dues income shall be supplemented by a charge for flight cards. The schedule
of flight card fees will be set by a vote of the Board of Directors at a
Section Meeting. Charges for flight cards may be waived by a club officer
for a number of situations, including for outreach groups and members who
have volunteered for various jobs at Section events. All dues moneys shall
be kept in a General Fund by the Treasurer and shall be paid out by him only
on order of the Section Board of Directors. Special assessments may be
levied by a majority vote of the members present and voting at any Section
Meeting.

Contributing Membership Plan: Members wishing to avoid paying for individual
flight cards may join at the contributing rate as set forth by the Board of
Directors. This allows the member and their family to recieve free flight
card while one adult member maintains Contributing membership level.
All dues moneys shall be kept in a General Fund by the Treasurer and shall
be paid out by the Treasurer only on order of the Board of Directors.
Special assessments may be levied by a majority vote of the members present
and voting at any Section Meeting
