Louis Fico's upscale Optima
The Ficos recently lost their Estes Optima. "Oh well," said Louis,
"guess I'll just have to build another one."
When Louis says this, we all know he doesn't mean he's headed to the hobby
shop to buy another Estes kit. After all, if something is worth doing, it's
twice as worthwhile if you do it twice as big -- right?
The Fico kids with the (in-progress) Optima
Here are Michael and Pamela, contemplating the day when this beast will take
to the air. This 1.53X scale-up uses 4" tubing and includes a central 38mm
mount and three 29mm mounts.
