NAR Cal Contest Series

With the holidays out of the way and the 2002 launch calendar set, we are working out the rest of the details for our contest launches. This year we are creating a series of contest launches designed to introduce participants to building competition models while still providing competition to experienced veterans.

The NAR Cal Contest Series launches will be held April 14^th, June 16^th, October 19^th and December 21^st. Prior to each launch we will conduct a build or instruction session to educate participants about how to successfully compete in the upcoming events. These sessions are scheduled for the LUNAR meetings on March 13^th, May 15^th, September 15^th and November 13^th.

Each contest launch will include 2-3 different events so that by the end of the year, participants will have experience in most (if not all) of the common events held at NAR contests. The event list currently includes:

B Altitude
B SuperROC Altitude
1/2A Parachute Duration
C Helicopter Duration
B Boost Glide Duration
A Flex-wing Boost Glide
C Eggloft Duration
Sport Scale

The complete list of events and schedule will be posted on the LUNAR website by February 20th. So, if you have any suggestions, please forward them as soon as possible!
