Lynn Kissel's Skye H'eye video rocket

Lynn started with a PML Ariel kit and modified it to handle the video camera, transmitter, power supply and so on. He also hand-built a nice antenna for the small receiver/TV/VCR that serves as his ground station.

This is the business end: a nice little flush plexiglass and aluminum window with the video camera peeking out.

Those red "whiskers", of course, are the antennas for the transmitter.

An MPEG video clip from Skye H'eye is available from Lynn's Web page. See also the video of this flight in LUNAR's Video Gallery.

Postscript: Sadly, on its next flight, this rocket experienced major ejection problems, with the nosecone and airframe in serious collision and at least one fin ripped off. Lynn took all the pieces home, but the prognosis is still unclear.
